Meat Velveting Marinade

If you are looking for a way for tenderizing your meat in Asian dishes, here is a quick technique used in Asian cooking that is called, “Velveting”.

Meat Velveting Marinade is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 1 T. hoisin sauce
  • Pinch of white pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 T. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste

 

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together until they are well combined.
  2. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight is best.
  3. Use it on chicken, pork, or beef dishes as a marinade! Works well on vegetables, too!
