Chicken & Biscuits
This is the ultimate in comfort food! It is the most heartwarming meal to eat when it is cold outside & you are looking for something to warm up your insides!
Ingredients:
- 1 can of your favorite large biscuits (or make from scratch)
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 large bag of frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 T. garlic powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 c. sour cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Put two chicken breasts in crockpot. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Add 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 c. milk, 1 c. of chicken broth, 1 T. garlic powder & stir to mix. Mix in frozen mixed vegetables & diced potatoes.
- Set the crockpot on high & cook for 3 hours. Until chicken is tender & the vegetables are done.
- While waiting, put biscuits in the oven and bake for 13-17 minutes. Let cool.
- Remove chicken breasts from the crockpot & shred. Put back in the crockpot & stir. Add sour cream, if you desire & stir in.
- Split biscuits in half & put on a plate or large bowl. Scoop chicken mixture over biscuit and serve!
