Chinese Dumplings

Red Kettle Cook

These are a beloved comfort food, known for their tender wrappers & flavorful fillings! Whether steamed, boiled or pan-fried, they are satisfying! They are perfect for sharing with family & friends!

Chinese Dumplings is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground pork or ground chicken
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 1 T. oyster sauce
  • 1 T. honey
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. ginger paste or ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 3/4 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers (or eggroll wrappers if in a pinch)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

 

Ingredients for an Optional Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 T. soy sauce
  • 1 T. rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. chili crunch oil
  • a little green onion, chopped, to taste

 

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.
  2. Lay out wonton wrappers on a cookie sheet.
  3. Use a tablespoon or small cookie scoop to meat & put a dollop of the meat in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Pick up wonton wrapper to form around the ball of meat inside & press the ends together (see photo).
  5. Put in a single layer, in a pan sprayed with cooking oil & cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add chicken broth to the pan then cover it & cook it for 10 minutes until the dumplings are done.
  7. Remove from the pan & let them cool before they are ready to eat.
  8. *Optional: If you want them crispier, put cooked dumplings in an air fryer on 400°F for 5 minutes.

 

Directions for the Optional Dipping Sauce:

  1. Mix all ingredients together until they are well combined.
  2. Then dip the Chinese Dumplings in them!
