Sweet Ginger Chili Chicken

Tender chicken coated in a sweet ginger chili sauce that hits all of the notes—sweet, spicy, savory & deeply satisfying!

Sweet Ginger Chili Chicken is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts or thighs, boneless & skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 T. vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 T. fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. sweet chili sauce or sweet ginger chips sauce
  • 2 T. honey
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste (adjust for spiciness)
  • Chopped green onions & sesame seeds for garnish

 

Directions:

  1. Mix the chicken breasts or thighs with the salt & pepper (to taste) in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl whisk together the soy sauce, honey & minced ginger. Set aside.
  3. In a medium-hot skillet add the oil until it is shimmering. Then add the minced garlic & cook until it is fragrant, about 2 minutes. Then add the chicken & cook until it is browned on all sides.
  4. Pour in the sauce & stir to evenly coat all of the chicken. Then cook until the sauce thickens a little & add the sesame oil (optional).
  5. Garnish with the green onions & sesame seeds.
  6. Serve hot with a side of rice.
