Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken

Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
  • 1 c. all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 c. Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 c. Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 1 c. marinara sauce or Grandpa’s Pasta Sauce
  • 1 c. mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
  • Parsley, freshly chopped (optional garnish)

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375˚ F.
  2. Mix together the Parmesan cheese, Panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt & black pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with the flour, one with the two beaten eggs & one with the Parmesan cheese mixture.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then the beaten eggs & then coat them in the Parmesan cheese mixture.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat & cook the breaded chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a prepared baking dish. Top each with marinara sauce, or Grandpa’s Pasta Sauce & the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through & the cheese is melted.
  8. Garnish with the fresh parsley (if using) before serving.
  9. Serve with a side salad or with Italian Bread Brushed with Fresh Garlic
