Ingredients:
- 1 pkg. Kings Hawaiian rolls (or gluten free Hawaiian rolls)
- 12 cocktail meatballs, cooked
- 1/4 c. tomato sauce
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Ingredients for the Garlic Butter:
- 4 T. butter
- 1 T. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
Directions:
- Preheat an oven to 400°F.
- Cut small, deep circles into the center of each of the Hawaiian rolls, without cutting through to the bottoms of them.
- Using your fingers, or the bottom of a small glass (like a shot glass), push down the center to create a bit of a bigger space.
- Then brush the top & inside with the Garlic Butter. Then put them in the oven for about 4 minutes, or until they are lightly toasted.
- Next add a little of the tomato sauce into the hole & top it with a small piece of the mozzarella cheese.
- Then add the cooked meatballs & sprinkle each one with Parmesan cheese.
- Top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese & return them to the oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Let them cool slightly before eating & then top with the fresh parsley (optional). Enjoy!
