Honey Chicken

Red Kettle Cook

If you are looking for a delicious bite of food then you have come to the right place! This recipe has all of the flavors without all of the carbs!

Honey Chicken is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. chicken thighs or breasts, boneless & skinless, cut into strips
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 T. oil (vegetable or olive)
  • 1 T. fresh parsley, diced (optional topping)

 

Ingredients for the Glaze:

  • 1/4 c. soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 1/4 c. honey or brown sugar
  • 2 T. rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp. corn starch mixed with 1 tsp. water (for thickening)

 

Directions:

  1. Lightly season the chicken with salt & pepper (to taste).
  2. Cook the chicken strips in a hot skillet with the oil, until browned. Set aside once they are almost completely cooked.
  3. Make the Glaze by combining the soy sauce (or coconut aminos), honey, vinegar, garlic & ginger in the same skillet that the chicken was cooked in. Stir & let simmer.
  4. Thicken the sauce by adding the cornstarch mixture & whisk until it thickens.
  5. Add the chicken back into the Glaze. Toss until it is well coated & glossy.
  6. Top with the fresh parsley (optional) & serve warm!
