Homemade Ketchup
This recipe will change your mind about buying ketchup from the grocery store! It is made with clean & simple ingredients—no refined sugar, no preservatives & no additives—just a bold flavor & easy prep!
Ingredients:
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 4 tsp. pure maple syrup
- 1/2 T. onion powder
- 1/2 T. garlic powder
- A pinch of salt, or to taste
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan & stir to combine.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a summer over low-medium heat for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the heat & let cool for 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a jar, or an airtight container & refrigerate for at least 2 hours before using.
- Storage: Keep refrigerated, in an airtight container, for up to 3-4 weeks.
