Homemade Ketchup
Why spend money at the grocery store when you can make it for less at home? This recipe is one of the best examples of that! It does not take many ingredients to make it & in no time flat you will have a homemade mix that you will use everyday!
Ingredients:
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 4 T. pure maple syrup
- 1/2 T. onion powder
- 1/2 T. garlic powder
- Pinch of salt & black pepper, or to taste
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan & stir to combine.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer over low-medium heat for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the heat & let cool for 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a jar or an airtight container & refrigerate for at least 2 hours before using.
- Can keep refrigerated, in an airtight container for up to 3-4 weeks.
