Grilled Cheese Hotdog

Who says that you cannot have a grilled cheese & a hotdog at the same time?! This recipe makes it possible! It is a game changer & is ideal when you are looking for a great pairing of two sammies!

Grilled Cheese Hotdog is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. of hotdogs (or gluten free hotdogs)
  • 1 pkg. of hotdog buns (or gluten free hotdog buns)
  • 2-3 T. butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400° F.
  2. Add the hotdogs to a parchment lined baking sheet. Score them diagonally both ways.
  3. Mix the melted butter, garlic & parsley in a bowl.
  4. Brush on some of the garlic butter to the hotdogs before they are put into the oven.
  5. Toast the hotdog buns until they are golden brown. Drop some of the shredded cheeses on the same pan as the hotdog buns to melt them. Place the buns, once they are toasted, on top of the cheeses.
  6. Once the cheeses are nice & gooey add the hotdog. Finish it off by dipping the sandwich in the garlic butter & enjoy!
