Crunch Bars

Red Kettle Cook

These are incredibly easy to make, yet super hard to resist! They will make a great snack, a quick energy boost & or a great gift!

Crunch Bars is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 9 oz. dark or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 c. puffed rice cereal (or gluten free puffed rice cereal)

 

Directions:

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Feel free to add up to 1 T. coconut oil to help it melt, if needed.
  2. Then add the puffed rice cereal to the melted chocolate & stir until fully coated. If the mixture seems too runny, add a little more puffed rice cereal.
  3. Pour the mixture into an 8 x 5 inch loaf pan that is lined with parchment paper. For a finishing touch, you might want to sprinkle flaky sea salt on top (optional).
  4. Refrigerate for several hours, or until it is firm to the touch. Once it is set, remove from the fridge & slice it into bars. If the chocolate is too hard to cut, let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  5. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
