Crockpot Italian Chicken
There is nothing like the flavors that come from this dish! They combine your love of Italian & chicken to create a meal that will satisfy the hungriest eaters!

Ingredients:
- 1 jar of Marinara sauce
- 1 jar of Alfredo sauce
- 3 chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 box of penne pasta (or gluten free penne pasta)
- 1 c. mozzarella cheese, freshly shredded
- 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded & divided
- 1/4 c. diced fresh parsley, optional topping
Directions:
- Pour the Marinara sauce on the bottom of the crockpot. Follow that by the Alfredo sauce.
- Place the chicken breasts on top of the two sauces. Add the seasonings to the top of the chicken.
- Cover the crockpot, then cook on high for one hour, or cook on low for three hours.
- Then shred the chicken, either in the crockpot, or in a chicken shredder.
- Add the penne pasta & stir to combine. Cook for another 20 to 25 minutes, until the pasta is al dente.
- Then add the mozzarella cheese & the Parmesan cheese. Then stir everything together to combine everything together evenly. Cover the crockpot & cook just until the cheese is melted.
- Add the fresh parsley & freshly shredded Parmesan cheese to serve!
