Crispy Bang Bang Chicken
This is a dish that is crispy on the outside & oh so juicy on the inside! It is the perfect blend of Asian sweet, spicy & creamy!

Ingredients for the Chicken Marinade:
- 3 chicken thighs, boneless & skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 c. soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 2 T. sake
- 1 tsp. mirin
- 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 T. minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp. minced ginger
- Salt & white pepper (to taste)
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 c. potato starch
- 1 T. neutral oil
- Green onions or chives, diced (optional garnishes)
Ingredients for the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 2 T. Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2 T. Sriracha (to taste) or chili sauce
- 2 T. lemon juice
Directions:
- In a bowl add the chicken thighs. Then add the soy sauce (or coconut aminos), the mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, white pepper (to taste), salt (to taste) & egg white. Mix well to combine.
- Marinate them in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Make the Bang Bang Sauce by combining the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha (to taste) & lemon juice. Mix well to combine & set aside.
- Dredge the chicken in the potato starch & deep fry for 5-6 minutes. Or until golden brown & crispy.
- Toss the fried chicken thighs in the Bang Bang Sauce.
- Serve it over a bed of hot steamed rice & garnish it with green onions or chives (optional garnishes)!
