Chicken Chow Mein
You will want to save this recipe! It tastes great & it also better than takeout!

Ingredients for the Chicken Marinade:
- 1 lb. chicken thighs, boneless & skinless
- 1 T. soy sauce
- 1 T. hoisin sauce
- Pinch of white pepper, or to taste
- 1 tsp. corn starch
- 1 T. oil
- 1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste
Ingredients for the Chow Mein:
- 2 T. oil (for cooking)
- 1/2 small onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 c. coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage & carrots)
- 10 oz. cooked low mein noodles (or chow mein noodles)
Ingredients for the Sauce:
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 T. hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 tsp. honey
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper, or to taste
Directions:
- In a bowl combine the chicken, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, salt (to taste), white pepper (to taste), corn starch & oil. Mix well with your hands.
- Let the chicken marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat a pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add a little oil, then toss the chicken.
- Spread it out evenly & cook it for about 6 minutes. Or until the chicken is golden brown & cooked through.
- Then add the onions, garlic & the coleslaw mix. Stir-fry for 2 minutes more until slightly softened.
- Add the cooked noodles & drizzle in the sauce. Stir-fry everything together over high heat until it is fully cooked & glossy.
