Bacon Cheeseburger Rice Skillet

Classic cheeseburger flavors with beef, bacon & rice come together in one skillet! This is a quick & filling meal!

Bacon Cheeseburger Rice Skillet is a Free Recipe from RedKettleCook.com!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 c. of barbecue sauce
  • 1 T. yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 c. instant rice
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 2 green onions (optional garnish)

 

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the beef & onion for about 5 minutes. Breaking up the meat as it cooks.
  2. Drain the excess fat from the beef, then add the barbecue sauce, yellow mustard, pepper & rice to the beef mixture. Stir to evenly combine. Then cover the mixture with the broth.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top & cover the skillet with a lid. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Garnish with crispy crumbled bacon & chopped green onions (optional). Enjoy!
