Cheese Balls
The most amazing flavor comes from this recipe! It is the Garlic Butter on top that takes it to a higher level! They are simple to make using store bought pizza dough!
Ingredients:
- Store bought, or homemade, pizza dough
- Mozzarella cheese, cut into bite sized pieces
- Marinara sauce or Grandpa’s Pasta Sauce, for dipping
Optional Baking Soda Wash:
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 T. baking soda
Ingredients for the Garlic Butter:
- 3 T. melted butter
- 1 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- Optional: Parmesan cheese, shredded
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Divide the pizza dough into small balls then flatten them down into small circles.
- Add a piece of mozzarella cheese to the middle of a pizza round & wrap the dough tightly around it.
- Mix the water & the baking soda together. Then brush it on the cheese balls.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Mix all of the Garlic Butter ingredients together. Brush on the cheese balls with the Garlic Butter before serving.
- Serve with marinara sauce or Grandpa’s Pasta Sauce.
