I love to cook … most of the time. I have always cooked from scratch as I find it healthier, but some gourmet recipes are anything but healthy.

Then there’s this book.

For the first time in a long while, I am finally inspired enough to cook gourmet recipes because these are actually good for you! The recipes are not overly complicated and yet some ingredients may be a bit tricky to find. It has a good range of recipes that include those that are easy to make, but it also includes some that are a bit fancy.

Beautifully photographed and presented, this cookbook is a treat for the eyes and would make a fabulous gift for the foodie in your life. Each recipe has a picture that makes the food look mouthwateringly delicious.

I love the Paleo lifestyle and have a ton of cookbooks.  But I also know that the Mediterranean Diet is proven to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke as well as help you lose weight, stay fit, and feel great as well.  Recent studies show that this eating style can reduce the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and depression, and that it can even increase fertility rates!This cookbook marries the two lifestyles!  You will learn how to prepare the most mouthwatering Mediterranean food without abandoning your commitment to Paleo, including how to make the necessary substitutions to ensure that the meals are as strictly Paleo.

I am a fan of  QVC  and I purchase most of my kitchenware from them.  Bob Warden is on their a lot and I am always impressed by his knowledge of cooking a variety of dishes.  If you are you looking for new ways to make the most of your slow cooker, you’ve come to the right place.  You will find some tasty, no-fuss, recipes that will take your family meals to a whole new level and make your crockpot your most cherished possessions. This book is a real treasure.  More than just a cookbook, this book shares the history of the farms all over California, sharing the state’s role in feeding people around the globe. The author shares stories from many different perspectives and we get a look at their rich heritage.  Included in this book are delicious recipes and fascinating photographs.  It is a real gem.

This book is a good primer for the beginner. It contains a decent overview of smoking using basic smoking recipes.  It’s a great resource if you’re just starting out or just got a new Kamado Smoker.  I bought this book along with a few others to help me understand the process using my new Kamado smoker/grill. All have their points, but I find this is my main reference about wood mix, time, and temperature. The recipes are very detailed and easy to follow, not to mention delicious so far.  This is a wonderful resource and very user friendly for the beginner to even someone quite experienced with smoking.

This cookbook is beautiful, and the recipes I have cooked from it so far have been delicious and surprisingly easy to prepare. This cookbook is definitely geared toward the home cook – the ingredients are relatively easy to track down, and the  I really think this will be one of my ‘go to’ cookbooks for everyday use.  If you tend to shop at farmers’ markets or get produce from a CSA farm, you will find this especially useful, as it contains plenty of recipes for vegetables. It’s a beautiful book with lots of photographs which I appreciate.

Whether you are cooking for your family or having a fancy dinner party, you will find delicious recipes that will fit the bill for any occasion.  To me this book makes cooking healthy food extremely fun.  Some of the recipes I admit weren’t really my style in cooking; I found that it was good for me to think out of the box!  With help from this cookbook; I’ve been able to create delicious meals for my family and friends.
